this seems too basic. i think it should allow more features in this. hopefully next update will be better….

Clean and neat

Every time when I close my mac lid or network disconnect and connect again, QQ will ask me to input verfication code. Are you wants to kill me???

I like the new tool. However, the “save” option is missing, plz fix that

I am increasing from one star to two stars, since it is great that they are still working on it. The new UI looks good. However, my issues are still there: 1) Cannot invite new members to group I created (I have to go to my iPhone QQ to do it) 2) Cannot remove members (same, use my iPhone QQ) 3) In some Group or Conversation, user names often not displayed (just the user QQ number), even if on my iPhone QQ, they display correctly for the same group. 4) This is more of a missing feature, but I cannot create a group from the application, it sends me to the web interface which is all in chinese, and very confusing. Again, here I am using my iPhone QQ app. Ironically, this is the first application I know that is more complete on my iPhone than on my Mac. Anyway, at least I have the iPhone work around, and they seem to work on this application.

integrated window is a bad bad bad idea, can NOT talk to different friend or group at same time, even u can NOT pull any of it out as a new window as old version.There is no review when u move or click the icon in the bar or notice, too much beautiful but no useful integrated, DO NOT like it.

Generally good update, exept the blueish color. It’ll be great if it’s possible to change the color theme.

I’ve been using my QQ for years. But just a few days ago, I upgraded my QQ to 4.0.1 mac version, since then I can’t login my account from my MacBook Pro. It always failed with time out message. Please don’t upgrade to this if you can avoid it.

this version adds a global search functionality called ‘swiftly’, triggered by double cmd hits. besideds its annoyance, by default, this swiftly thing scans my contacts and applications. I wasn’t expecting this — why would I expect an instant messenger will scan data on my local disk? when you do something like that, you should consent your users, instead of starting collecting their private information silently. who knows if your next version will silently start scanning my bank passwords or credit cards? I usually don’t mind sharing some information with online services, if they ask politely and I can sense that the sharing is necessary to make certain services convenient. but this is beyond my bottomline.

I have like four accounts. I wish this app can allow me to log on four accounts at once.

QQ is synonymous with Spyware here in China, but this sanitized version in the App store is pretty clean. However, when you start it up, it immediately asks you if you want to go to their own web site to update to the newest version. DO NOT DO THIS! The “updated” version has no additional functionality but, instead, installs something called “QQ Platform” which adds no functionality, but does add a “stealth” installer login item that installs who knows what and causes your computer to momentarily hang during shutdowns. However, if you don’t download the update, this App gives basic QQ chatting functionality to Mac Users.

如果一定要用一个词形容的话，就是异常垃圾 qq很imessage不一样，干嘛抄袭？Mac上已经安装了alfred了，为什么弄个奇怪的东西出来，安全性在哪里 很垃圾 真的很垃圾 太垃圾了

where’s the negative star option?? that’s how bad QQ for Mac is. i didn’t expect it to be as bad as the PC version but man tencent out do themselves once again. why is it even allowed on the App store? one more thing, it kept doing a popup dialogue for updates outside of the app store, so updates are not pushed via the app store.

Just as simple as the one on iPad! There’s fewer redundant features than the one on PC!

This app is created, intentionally just for chatting/discission. Therefore, it’s great! Simple and easy to reach out to my friends and family, face chatting too. (Although it’s not as great as FaceTime, in my opinion.) I never expected this new update can go to zone and qmail, so there, the app also surprise me in a way. *Please note, I’m writing this review, using the app in my MacBook, I’m not sure if it’s the same for iPad, so ya...

Why mac qq will deleted my motions ?????? It happened twice! Plz fix this bug !!!
